Message: Have a 1968 Jeep Wagoneer for sale. I’ve owned this truck for a couple of years now- purchased it in Chico as a project and finished putting it back together. Very clean and reliable, I’ve driven this truck all over California. Pre- American motors Jeep manufactured by Kaiser Willys.
The previous owner updated the drive train. The factory Buick 350 block has been replaced with a 350 from a 72 Chevy Camaro, along with a 4 barrel Edelbrock Performer and matching intake. Transmission is custom built-Turbo 400 case with a tailshaft to mate to the transfer case.
This truck came with a Dana 20, but has been replaced with a Quadratrac which has been converted with a MileMaker part time conversion kit, so it is not the ‘all wheel drive’ system- it performs more like a conventional part time transfer case. I have a Chevy Turbo 400 with a Dana 20 and driveline I acquired with the intention of returning it to the stock tcase, but never did. This is available at additional cost if interested.
What’s new on this truck: Upholstery and door panels, fuel system, rebuilt power brake booster, rear axle seals, brake linings, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, and soft lines. Gauges work- gauge regulator updated.
Factory air equipped, compressor is not hooked up. The engine runs strong- no knocks or noises. Plenty of power.
Rust bubbling around driver side drip rail and passenger rear quarter. Everything else is solid.
Rear output seal of tcase seeps fluid and steering box seeps from input shaft seal. Dent in driver side door.
Clean title, registered until September. Smog Exempt.
